Cercis canadensis 'Traveller'

Cercis canadensis 'Traveller'

Cercis Canadensis 'Traveller' is a weeping Eastern redbud that produces a wonderful year-round display. On its bare branches, vibrant fuchsia-pink flowers bloom in clusters in late winter, early spring. When the flowers fade, the tree continues its ornamental display with beautiful heart-shaped leaves which emerge in a coppery colour and mature into a lovely glossy green foliage. This tree has a feathered structure, with a single stem and multiple branches which gives it a fuller, bushier appearance, while the weeping branches fall gracefully.

Cercis Canadensis 'Traveller' prefers full sun to partial shade in a sheltered environment. It prefers moist but well-drained clay, loam and sand soils. It has an approximate height and spread of 2x4 meters.
