Limelight Apple trees are a cross between Greensleeves and Discovery, the result being an apple that has a a refreshing and slightly sharp apple flavour. The skin is bright yellow-green as the name suggests and the flesh is crisp and juicy.
In good conditions, an abundance of Limelight apples are produced ready to pick in the second half of September (mid-season). The tree has excellent disease resistance and is deemed to be easy to grow. It is in pollination group C and requires a suitable pollination partner within a half mile radius.
Malus domestica 'Limelight' comes from Kent and has received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
