Fagus sylvatica creates a wonderful pleached Beech tree, with colourful lime-green foliage in spring turning dark green in summer. The foliage takes on shades of orange and copper in autumn and, whilst deciduous, can hang onto the trees into winter. The leaves have a corrugated texture and elliptic shape.
Our stunning pleached Beech trees have been carefully and expertly trained over a number of years to create beautiful screening trees and they are excellent for creating privacy.. The grand looking trees produced by this method of training are sometimes known as hedging in the sky or stilt hedging. These are a fantastic investment and Fagus sylvatica can live for up to 200 years!
